Stone Bridge, Duke Gardens

Earlier this year I was privileged to photograph my nephew, Chris, as he knelt on one knee and proposed marriage on this bridge in Duke Gardens. Chris and Christina were married in November and the choice of a wedding gift was obvious… I painted the scene of the wedding proposal!

The painting was challenging especially with painting the individual colorful stones of the bridge and their reflection in the water. I hope the painting will bring them many happy memories over the years.
