Families Moving Forward

I created this painting as a donation to a fundraiser for a local nonprofit Families Moving Forward. They provide a home and support for homeless families in Durham. The painting was sold in an online auction and the proceeds went to the nonprofit.

I had a happy encounter with some of the family members who are served by the ministry when I went to deliver the painting. When I showed them the painting they began excitedly naming many of the figures in the painting. It was a nice feeling to see their positive reaction and to help in a small way.
