“Under Construction”

Despite the oppressive weight of the pandemic, my hometown of Durham, NC has continued to grow and change. I took the reference photos for this painting in April 2021 while walking downtown near the historic Durham Athletic Park. I thought the perspective of the construction equipment along with the buildings and road disappearing into the distance was interesting.
