Carved In Stone

During our visit to Iceland, we visited the Fjadrargljufur nature conservation area. This canyon is about 100m deep and over 1km long and is believed to have been formed during the end of the last ice age over 9000 years ago. The hike to the waterfall overlook was steep and precarious as there were very strong winds the day that we visited. Even so, the view was stunning!
