Crowned by the Light

Crowned by the Light portrays the upper domes of St. Nicholas Church in Prague as they emerge briefly from mist, touched by the last quiet glow of the day. Rather than describing the full architecture, the painting focuses on a moment of transition—when light defines form just long enough to be felt, then recedes.

Painted with deliberate restraint, detail is concentrated where illumination falls, while surrounding forms soften into atmosphere. This approach reflects my interest in selective realism and timeless light—creating a work that invites slow looking and rewards repeated viewing, offering a sense of calm, balance, and quiet permanence.
